This was a great build-up episode. Damuel is doing excellent job her bodyguard. I was concerned Damuel wouldn't get along with the rest of the cast or would harbor grudges against Myne. He could have throught the assignment was beneath him, but he now recognize Myne's worth.

This world is one the most oppressive I've seen in anime. If Myne is adopted into nobility will she be able to see her parents her sister and her friends? Would she be expected to shun all commoners.
This is going to hurt, but I want to see this through.

I don't think that's oppressive, once you become a "person of interest"
you'd be a target in our world either, and you'd need bodyguards or a secret service.

Impacting some influence into the world, awakens interest of other people and sometimes also sinister intent.
One might be lucky for years, then you're being smacked by the reality like John Lennon was in all of a sudden, or Mahatma Ghandi.
Not being aware of possible danger does not mean it's not there, luring in the background noise.

The only safe bet would be to not influence your times at all, but then you might feel the same pointless living as the majority of citizens.

Everything you do or NOT do, has consequences
and these can not be foreseen.

I think it is. There is no way for a commoner to level up in that society. The one person who did level up is still treated with contempt.
I do agree you view.

Oh, I didn't understood that in your post.
Yes the way that blonde knight and the pope looked down on her is definitely very oppressive.

Even worse then that, when they look down on commoners like that they believe they restore the order "as it was meant to be".

I hate such people more then the ones that only pretend to be something better or to appear better then you,
because these ones are really dumb enough to truly believe they are a better breed then commoners.

For me that's the definition of a stupid scumbag.

Yes, this shoujo-anime lacked a devilish boy that teases female lead.

How on earth are you supposed to use those gigantic typefaces / lettersets for anything but oversized proclamations to nail to a town center type things.
And there is WAY too much space between the edges of the rectangle and the sides of the letters themselves. Everything will have an awkward spacing between each character.
